Our offer
Leaders in GM programme
The aim of the Leaders in GM programme is to develop a strong network of capable, resilient leaders across the region and within localities, who are able to collaborate to overcome challenges and make tangible, sustainable and positive differences across communities.
You don’t need to be a leader by job title to take part. Leaders in GM is about demonstrating leadership through action. So, whether you want to learn from others, build your network or share your knowledge and best practice, Leaders in GM can support you to make a difference in your community.
Is this for me?
Our programmes are not traditional leadership training courses. They are bespoke, tailored programmes of activity that help individuals and teams to make a real difference for the people and communities across Greater Manchester.
The programme is aimed at individuals of all levels in Greater Manchester who demonstrate leadership. It is for anyone who is passionate about improving the lives of Greater Manchester communities and is determined to make our region one of the best places in the world to live, work and grow old.
The place-based leadership development programme takes place over a 12-month period. There will also be opportunities to attend additional workshops throughout the year, to support in addressing individual development needs.
If you’re interested in getting involved with the Leaders in GM programme, working with others to use your skills to make a difference in your community, or want to share the great work that you are already doing, please get in touch!
What others have to say…
As you know, I attended cohort 2 so was a little cautious about joining cohort 3 in case it would be a duplication of my time and learning. However, after yesterday I am absolutely thrilled to be part of this cohort. The programme yesterday was excellent – I was really impressed. You all led by example in sharing your personal journeys, which I found engaging and inspiring. Thank you. And the practical place-based challenge concept is exciting, tangible and immediate. I can’t wait to get cracking. The programme feels different and has greater clarity and focus. Plus the use of local facilitators is another opportunity to build relationships with others in GM, rather than an uninvolved external agency from another corner of the country. Anyway, I could say more, but just wanted to send you this encouragement. I’m excited
